Practice Makes Skill

Practice Makes Skill

Howdy! We’re wrapping up the weekend at my house. I hope you’ve had a great week.

I want to share with you some lessons my mentor, Dean Holland, has been driving home.

I think it all comes down to, to succeed in business, you’ve got to try. And not just try a little bit. You’ve got to be determined and consistent.

Not every day feels like a “successful day.”

But Dean recently told me there is no failure in business; lessons are simply learned.

That’s something I have a tough time wrapping my mind around.

I expect each day I shall make some money.

That’s not a daily thing for me yet.

But each day, what I do is to answer Quora questions. My results are getting better and better. Some days, my results haven’t improved as much as I’d like, but some days, I’m surprised at how many views I’ve had. And sometimes, people click on my links more than I’d expect.

So, I’ve just got to learn a business owner’s mindset—the idea of there not being a failure – only lessons learned.

I’m in this for long-term success. The daily ins and outs are just part of the game, especially in the beginning.

I will fail so often that if I want to, I become a millionaire.

I’m going to keep trying and learning from my mistakes. Each day, I’m going to do my best to improve.

And this is the hard part: I’m going to try each day.

I know me. I will have to dare myself to do it each day, so I do.

I will use my monthly calendar sheet; at this point, I don’t use that part of my calendar, and I will put a sticker on each day that I spend one full hour focused wholeheartedly on Quora.

I’m going to get good at it for a year.

It’s September 10th.

I’m going to do this.

One year from now, we’ll see where I’m at.

I have 97 answers, 18 followers, and 3.4 K content views today.

I’ll keep you updated on how I’m doing each week.

I’ll be the Michael Jordan of Quora.

Wish me luck! Have you ever dared yourself to do something? Do you have any tips for consistency? How do you keep that fire going day after day? Please leave a comment 🙂

Ciao for now,

Nakina
