What Does Storytelling Have to Do With Affiliate Marketing?

Hi, All!

How was your week? Mine flew by. Some weeks are like that. However, for me, it’s usually not so much.

I’ve been learning how to write my story.

Am I writing a novel? No! By no means! LOL!

Everyone has a story about how they started their business, why, their dreams, etc.

I’m learning to tell that story.

This Week

Sophie Sion-Byde recommends Bill Mueller as a teacher for writing story-like emails that get read and actioned. So, I checked out his introductory offer.

He teaches how to write captivating stories in every email so they get read through all the way.

This week, I got an email for a free Story Summit he’s involved in.
It’s a seven-day conference with over forty interviews of people sharing how they tell stories.

And, wow! It’s intense!

Four Days to Go

There are still four days to attend, so I’ll finish before I try to summarize all that I’ve learned for you.

I am so excited to do that.

Conclusion

I feel like I’ve gone on something of a learning vacation this week.

I’ve got more to go, and I’ll share it with you.

In short, the story has much to do with how your audience grows to know, like, and trust you.

I hope you’re looking forward to it.

In the meantime, have an absolutely fabulous weekend and week ahead!

Ciao for now,

  1. Hi Nakina – I am all about telling a good story and all about hearing or reading one. In fact, that’s pretty much how I talk and write. I love what a story can do. It can put you in the middle of a situation or life and can be so relatable that you feel you either know or want to know the people involved. Stories are a powerful way for us to get our message across and for us to become known to others. I plan to check out this resource you recommend. Thanks for the hint and have a great week ahead!

    1. Hi, Ernie!
I can attest that you are a great storyteller! My goal is to be more like you in terms of storytelling ability. You have a talent for it; I hope to learn it. It is an exciting goal. I hope to be more personable and relate my story more sincerely through story. Ironically, I think what we have to say is just more real if we tell it through story.
      Have a fabulous week, Ernie!

    1. Hi, Meredith!
      Thank you!
It is an exciting week! The speakers are going deep in ways I never expected. I hope to share what I learn in next week’s blog. Writing will help me sum up and process what I’m learning.

  3. Hi Nakina,
Definitely looking forward to reading your comments on this!
For my part, I’m so used to doing the voice-over work – I sometimes don’t take the time to really read what the author is trying to say and many times, it sure can be worth it!
Fantastic blog entry and can’t want to read more about your “learning vacation” LOL!

    1. Hi, Marc!
Great! I just finished the Story Summit interviews yesterday – 41 of them! Wow! It was amazing! I’ve got to synthesize my notes, and I’ll get that blog entry together 🙂

  4. Nakina,
Nothing at all wrong with a learning vacation. I need one of those.
Regarding story telling, I love a good story as most people do. I am interested to hear what you learned from Bill Mueller. Story telling is a great way for someone to get to know you.
